A heap of laughs and fun is in store as a village drama group prepares to stage its 20th pantomime.
Greatham Village Players have been entertaining the community for 20 years with their colourful and funny performances.
This year’s show is Jack and Jill by Bob Heather and Cheryl Barrett, and runs at Greatham Community Centre from Wednesday, January 11, to Saturday, January 14.
Saturday is already a sell out but organisers are hoping to see lots of people for the rest of the run.
Heroes Jack and Jill, played by Leah Alderson and Lauren Emmerson, with their friends must go to the Crystal Fountain to solve a drought.
A spokesman for the players said: “Please join us to celebrate our 20th Pantomime. As usual no expense has been spared. We have a cast of famous Greathamites plus Simone Owl played by Lauren Price.
“Dame, Nurse Norma Snickers is played by well-known Greathamite Kieron Johnson.
“They are joined by Brown Owl and Akela, played by a daughter and mother pairing of Rachel Holmes and Claire Alderson.”
This year also introduces brother and sister Aiden and Alese Vaughan playing the parts of Doric and Omega.
Bad fairy Dehydria is brought to life by players regular Brian Price and Chloe Middleton good fairy Aquarius.
Tickets are still available for most nights from Greatham Village Post Office and on the door on Wednesday and Thursday.
