FITNESS fans with a love of nostalgia can relive their party past during a centre’s first retro aerobics evening.
People are being urged to dust off their leg warmers and sweatbands in a style reminiscent of 1980s fitness queen Jane Fonda during the event, taking place at the Eden Lane Community Facilities, formerly Peterlee Football and Social Club.
The evening of Old-Skool aerobics takes place on Tuesday, September 18, from 6pm.
This evening of entertainment is suitable for all abilities and aerobics will run from 6pm-6.45pm, followed by a 1980s picture quiz, with the winning team receiving three months free membership for all PACES (Pavilion Active Community Exercise Scheme) at Helford Road Pavilion and Eden Lane Community Facilities.
Nibbles and refreshments are available from 6.45pm-8pm.
A prize will be awarded to the best fancy dress.
Free mini-health checks are available from 6pm-8pm and these include blood pressure testing, weight and body fat measurement, and advice on living a healthier lifestyle.
Tickets cost £1 and are available from Helford Road Pavilion or Eden Lane Facilities.
Call (0191) 5869957 or (0191) 5863004 for more information about the event.
Alternatively, you can pay £2.50 on the night.
