Youngsters went trick or treating all over town and attended Halloween parties and people in Hartlepool really got into the spirit.

This picture was sent in of Cameron, Jack, Owen and Lexi Sharp all enjoying the event.

And Christine Fothergill sent in a picture of a haunted house all decorated spooky-style.

And youngsters in Peterlee had a frighteningly good time at one of the town’s oldest buildings.

Peterlee Town Council laid on a host of fun during three Halloween parties held at its Shotton Hall headquarters.

The town’s Mayor and Mayoress, Councillors Don and Margaret Milsom, attended all three events and the party, which included a magician, face-painter, disco and fancy dress competition, was a huge success.

Mayor Milsom congratulated all of the youngsters who attended for making a great effort with their costumes.
