Pictures have emerged in recent days of players trying to "catch 'em all" on Hartlepool's Headland - and the increased activity has set tongues wagging.

But whether you're on a quest to become a true Pokémon master or you just want the madness to stop, many of you have an opinion on this.

Andrea Attwell: "I don't understand what the problem is? Kids can't win. If they stay in and play on Xbox or PlayStation then there are complaints they aren't getting enough exercise.

"This game has them outside and socialising and as far as I am aware there hasn't been any trouble ... what's the problem?"

Julie Corser: "Personally I think the sad ones are the ones who have nothing better to do than sit typing, whinging, whining comments about other people having fun with their families, the sad ones are sat at home."

Lee Summerson: "The first mobile game to get people off their bums and get out into the open air. People who would otherwise spend hours/days/weeks gaining weight instead of exercising."

Tracy Gibbon Oliver: "Bet no one thought that the carnival is at the Headland for the next week. Think the large numbers maybe to do with that as well as the game?"

Chelle Birbeck: "Last week I walked 30 miles looking for Pokemon. During that I have been laughed at and called names.

"But how is it a bad thing that I am out of my house getting exercise and just so happen to be playing a game at the same time?"

Allan Mckelvie: "It's about time they got a life or maybe a job?"

Louise Bushnall: "Kids and older will play video games regardless at least this one gets them out of the house gets them socialising and no guns, knives, bombs or bloodshed!"

Lisa Jackson: "I think it's a good thing. Firstly it's getting them out of their bedrooms playing video games to playing them outside and giving them exercise. It's getting them socialising and interacting with people. Lastly it's giving youngsters something to do that's free (apart from phone data charges)."

Clair Noble: "We have taken our three kids over three times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the sun, the walk and catching Pokemon, not once have we seen anyone misbehaving or causing trouble."

Ashley Foster: "If you don't like it don't join in let them get on with it at least no harm is been done and people enjoying themselves."
