A chilly wind and sunny spells – your weekend weather for Hartlepool and East Durham

THIS weekend will see Hartlepool and East Durham enjoy some sunny spells – but the winds will remain chilly.

The Met Office forecasts a fresh, and sometimes strong, southwesterly breeze to bring showers throughout Friday. Some of the downpours could be wintry at times with snow over higher areas.

Most of the Hartlepool and East Durham area is expected to avoid the worst of the weather and should enjoy a few sunny spells.

Tonight will see the possibility of one or two showers, but most areas will remain dry and breezy.

Over the weekend, it will be generally dry with bright or sunny spells.

It will become increasingly windy as the weekend goes on and there could be rain showers in the afternoons.

Day-time temperatures are expected to be around 8C and thermometers will drop to around 3C at night.
