A night to remember for pupils
PUPILS from two schools enjoyed a night to remember as the prom season continued in style across Hartlepool and east Durham.
Students from High Tunstall College of Science poured into Hardwick Hall, in Sedgefield, for their big night to celebrate the end of their school term.
And youngsters from Peterlee's St Bede's College took over Shotton Hall for their prom night.
As our pictures show, plenty of fun was had by all, and as ever it was plain for all to see the amount of effort that had gone into getting dressed to impress.
Coverage of the prom nights will continue over the next fortnight.
Photographs will appear in the Mail the day after every event and a bumper supplement will be out later this month.
We'd also love to see some students' own pictures, which can be sent to us by following the instructions on Page 8 today. Don't forget to include all your names.
To order photographs, click the Photostoday icon on our website www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk or telephone the Mail's reception on (01429) 239408.
The Mail will also be producing a DVD slideshow of each event, details of which can also be found on the website or by telephoning (0191) 5107263.
Schools should also remember our request for a pupil, perhaps the head boy or girl, to write a 150-word summary on how the big night went.
They need to be emailed as soon as possible to gavin.ledwith@northeast-press.co.uk.
