The GNAA was scrambled to Miers Avenue around 9.20am to help the stricken woman.

The woman was en-route to James Cook and full details of her condition had not yet been ascertained this morning, with a GNAA spokesman only being able to say: “We were flown to Hartlepool to reports of a female patient who was suffering a serious medical condition.

“She is being taken to James Cook University Hospital and our doctor is escorting her in a road ambulance.”
