ANNE Darwin, the wife of back-from-the-dead canoeist John Darwin, has arrived back in Britain and been arrested
Mrs Darwin was arrested at Manchester Airport today, Greater Manchester Police said.

A spokeswoman said: "At approximately 9.25am on December 9, 2007, Greater Manchester Police arrested a 55-year-old woman in connection with allegations of fraud as part of an investigation being headed by police in Cleveland.
"The woman will be detained at Manchester Airport and then taken away by Cleveland Police to be questioned."
The police spokeswoman was unable to confirm what flight Mrs Darwin was on or whether she had been arrested as she disembarked.
But Mrs Darwin was not seen leaving the Arrivals hall at the airport.
According to reports, Mrs Darwin was arrested this morning by armed police who boarded her flight after it landed at Manchester airport.
The website said she had flown in overnight from the America after agreeing to return to Britain to face questioning about the case.
It said: "The Manchester Airport Police boarded the flight before passengers had got off and arrested her."
"It is likely she will be driven to Cleveland to be interrogated by detectives."
At the end of last week, Detective Inspector Andy Greenwood of Cleveland Police had told www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk: "I am very keen to speak to Mrs Darwin.
"But if Mrs Darwin doesn't want to come and see me then I will seek her out and speak to her in my time."
