Wynyard Golf Club

Wynyard Golf Club

GOLFERS of all abilities have the chance to compete in an event this summer.

The competition, which runs from Tuesday, July 30 to Friday, August 2, is organised by Stockton Borough Council and takes in some of the area’s best courses – offering golfers the chance to play at exclusively discounted rates.

There are daily prizes and an overall prize for the best aggregate score across the four-day tour competition.

Players can choose to enter the entire event or take part on individual days.

“They also have the choice of playing individually or as a group.

Stockton Golf Week takes in four golf courses – Billingham, Wynyard, Eaglescliffe, and Teesside.

The council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, Coun Ken Dixon, said: “Golf fans are in for a real treat as Stockton Golf Week returns for its fourth year.

“This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy yourself and play on some of the borough’s finest courses.

“It runs alongside two of the borough’s finest flagship events, Stockton Weekender music festival and Stockton International Riverside Festival.”
