Arson at Probation office

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an arson attack at a Probation Service office.

Officers from Peterlee Neighbourhood Policing Team say youths were seen “messing with a lock” at the office in Yoden Way, Peterlee, sometime overnight between Thursday and Friday last week.

A fire then started in the hallway of the building.

Nobody was injured but officers are appealing for help in tracing those responsible.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101.
