Aunt: I wish it was all over

THE AUNT of John Darwin who once famously said she did not think her nephew had even "got his feet wet" says she wishes the whole thing was over.

Margaret Burns refused to comment about the guilty pleas of her nephew but said she wished the cases against him and his wife would be wrapped up soon.

Standing outside her home on the Coast Road, Blackhall, she said: "I am very disappointed with the whole thing and sick of it going on for so long. He has been very stupid in what he has done.

"Why do these things take so long to finish?"

Previously Margaret, 80, told the Mail she felt guilty for telling John Darwin's dad, her brother-in-law Ronnie, that he was in denial for not accepting John had drowned at sea.
