POLICE have been called to a sudden death at a house in Hartlepool.

Officers from Cleveland Police went to Staithes Court, in the Mainsforth Terrace area of Hartlepool, at around 7pm, after receiving reports that somebody had died suddenly.

No details about the person involved have yet been released by police, but officers have said that the death is not believed to be suspicious.

Police have cordoned off the property where the body was discovered, while officers carry out routine procedures.

A spokesman for Cleveland police said: “There was a report of a sudden death at that location in Hartlepool.

“Officers are at the scene. Nothing is deemed to be suspicious.”
