Budget event for business

BUSINESS leaders are being invited to hear first hand the opinions of experts on the Budget.

A Budget Live! event is being hosted by Tees Valley Unlimited.

Guests at Budget Live! can question a panel including Tees Valley Unlimited managing director Stephen Catchpole, CBI regional director Sarah Green, Institute of Directors North East chairman Alastair Thomson, and David Smith, economics editor of The Sunday Times.

Following the debate, the Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget will be broadcast live to the audience of Tees Valley influential decision-makers and business leaders at the event, which is being held at Fabrick Housing Group’s Middlesbrough headquarters.

Mr Catchpole said: “As part of our remit to promote and assist the area’s economic development and job creation, it is important that TVU takes account of the views of business leaders, decision-makers and opinion-formers.

“The audience will be able to engage with a leading panel discussing the local, regional and national economy followed by a live broadcast of George Osborne’s 2013 Budget.”

Budget Live! is on Wednesday, March 20, with guests asked to arrive at 10.30am for 11am.
