POLICE raided a house in Hartlepool and found almost £20,000 in cash along with a haul of class B drugs.
Drugs officers from Hartlepool Police swooped on the house in the town’s Oxford Road.
They uncovered the cash sum, as well as £1,500-worth of skunk cannabis, and £200 of amphetamine.
The raid took place at around 12.50pm on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “A drugs warrant was issued upon a house in Oxford Road, Hartlepool, at 12.50pm on Wednesday.
“The Community Drugs Enforcement Team executed a warrant at the address and they found almost £20,000 cash.
“They also recovered some cannabis and amphetamine.”
Three people, two men and a woman, were arrested in connection with the raid.
The woman, aged 36, and a 43-year-old, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and money laundering.
A third man, Gareth Dobie, 34, of Innes Road, Hartlepool, was charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon, on January 8, and he appeared before Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Justices remanded him in custody and sent his case to be dealt with at Teesside Crown Court, in Middlesbrough, where he will next appear on January 23, at 10am.
