Cars in flames
ARSONISTS are being blamed after a car was destroyed on an industrial estate.
Firefighters from Stranton Fire Station were called after reports of a Dodge Nitro car on fire on land at Parkview Industrial Estate, off Brenda Road, in Hartlepool.
A station spokesman said the car had been dumped and deliberately set on fire during the incident at around 5pm on Friday.
Meanwhile, firefighters from Peterlee Fire Station were called to a Transit van which was on fire at around 9.20pm on Friday night, and then to a fire at a block of residential garages in Bevan Grove, Shotton, around 3.42am on Saturday.
