HOSPICE staff have expressed their thanks after a furniture shop chose to support the town charity for a second consecutive year.

Perfect Home, in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, boosted Hartlepool & District Hospice with a £500 donation from the store’s Community Outreach programme.

It’s the second year running the firm has chosen the hospice as its charity to support for the year - to the delight of the facility’s hard-working staff.

Rob Pattison, manager of the store, said: “The hospice affects all of our lives in one way or another.

“The staff are delighted that the money is going to such a good cause and will help the hospice to continue to provide the vital services to the local communities of Hartlepool and East Durham.”

Hospice staff were presented with the cheque for £500 in the store.

Carol Sennett, the facility’s corporate fundraiser, said: “This is a wonderful donation and we are delighted that the work we do for the local communities has been the inspiration for this.

“We are thrilled that the staff at Perfect Home chose to nominate our hospice for the second year in succession.

“On behalf of all of our patients and their families I would like to say a huge thank you. All donations are used to fund our care services and support families in the Hartlepool and East Durham area.”

Any businesses, groups or individuals who would like to support the hospice can contact Carol on (01429) 855552.
