Chance to see birth of lambs
A NATURE reserve is offering people the chance of seeing spring lambs being born.
Adults and children are being urged to see the birth of the new lambs at Saltholme Visitors Centre, off Seaton Carew Road, in Hartlepool.
The reserve has a new purpose-built sheep shed especially for the event. A spokesman for the reserve said: “Spring is in the air and our Shetland sheeps’ lambs are on their way. In our new purpose-built Shetland Sheep shed you will be able to see Saltholme’s newest arrivals closer than ever before. You might even get the chance to name some of our lambs.”
He added: “The lambing live experience will run most days during the lambing period, but there will be regularly scheduled times to visit the lambing shed during the day.” The events are being held from Friday, March 29, until Sunday, April 14, from 10am until 4pm and costs £2 for non-members.
