Crissy pumps it up

A POPULAR television star has been lined up to help officially open a new petrol station.

Former Benidorm actress Crissy Rock will be on hand with Peterlee Mayor, Councillor Bob Kyle to open the new Asda service station, which was previously a Shell garage, in Yoden Way.

The event was supposed to take place today but has been put back until Wednesday, January 30 at 9am as the snowy conditions have caused a delay in road surfacing of the forecourt.

Crissy, who lives in Peterlee, has kindly agreed to lend her support to the event.

It is also hoped that members of The Academy at Shotton Hall’s steel band will be providing music.
