THREE days of high-profile performing are under way for a Hartlepool street dance crew.

And for Ruff Diamond, it is a chance to appear at one of the biggest and most prestigious dance events in the country.

They have been invited to be part of the Move It exhibition at London Olympia which started yesterday and continues until tomorrow.

Mark Watson, who acts as a liaison person between the Ruff Diamond crew and their manager, said: “It is a big thing in the dance world. Ruff Diamond will be performing numerous times each day and they will be performing a special set for it.

“There will also be workshops and selling merchandise.”

Ruff Diamond’s involvement in the event comes as a result of their link-up with Beautiful Movements – the company led by former Pussycat Doll and Sky One’s Got
to Dance judge Kimberly Wyatt.

Weeks later they picked up a special recognition honour at this year’s Pride of Hartlepool awards, 2013.

Last summer, the crew were crowned UK adult hip hop champions and followed that up by coming 16th in the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas.

Then, they won the Inspire category at the Hartlepool Mail Sports Awards.
