Did ghost find my lost bracelet?
A WOMAN whose bracelet was found hanging on a display in her shop miles from where she lost it is putting it down to ghostly goings-on.
While at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre, Michelle Dixon, 41, from Seaton Carew, felt a "spooky but nice" presence before losing her bracelet somewhere in the hall.
Four days later, the bracelet was mysteriously found hanging on a bunch of flowers in Michelle's flower shop.
Michelle, joint owner of Fleurs Classique, said: "It's totally weird.
"My mam and had been watching my daughter's play at the Town Hall and both of us kept having strange feelings through the performance.
"The next day, when I woke up I had lost my bracelet which I never take off, so I went back to the Town Hall.
"I checked all round our seats and couldn't find it so I gave up."
The 41-year-old contacted the Mail after reading our story about how a ghosthunter plans to stake out the historic building tomorrow.
Michelle, mother of Bethany, 13, and Ashleigh, 16, was taking a few days holiday at the time.
Four days after the show, her bracelet was found in her flower shop by her business partner, Jo-anne Harrington, 39.
"Jo-anne rang me saying she had found my bracelet hanging off a flower in the shop, but there is no way it could have got there.
"I hadn't been to the shop since before the play and I definitely had it on while I was there because I remember it jangling.
"It doesn't make any sense how it got back there, we have tried to rationalise it but we can't."
Michelle was at the theatre to watch Bethany, a student at King's Manor school, Middlesbrough, perform in a school production on Friday, July 11.
Michelle went to the show with her mother, Olga Smith, 73, who lives near Hartlepool town centre. Both felt eerie goings on.
After Olga left at the interval, Michelle took over her seat.
She said: "When I was in her seat I started to get the feelings. It was if someone was over my shoulder.
"It felt it was someone who knew me, it wasn't frightening at all.
"It was quite a nice feeling, one I probably won't feel again."
In another creepy twist, regulars at the flower shop often tell Michelle that the building on the sea front is haunted by the ghost of a little old woman.
She added: "Now we have been saying that maybe she followed me to the performance, found my bracelet, and brought it back."
