Driver injured in collision
A MOTORIST was taken to hospital with suspected concussion after her car was involved in a collision with a van.
Crews from Peterlee Fire Station were called to make the scene safe after a Ford Transit van collided with her Renault Megane at a junction.
Paramedics treated the woman for suspected concussion before taking her to Sunderland Royal Hospital as a precaution.
Fire crews cleared oil from the road after the collision.
The incident happened at the junction of Logan Terrace, in South Hetton, at 7.45pm yesterday.
