A Hartlepool funeral directors is appealing for support to help lots of local children have a cracking Easter.

Mason & Gerald Martin, in Park Road, is once again asking local businesses, community groups and residents to donate Easter eggs so that they can bring a smile to youngsters’ faces.

The Easter eggs will be donated to Hartlepool Special Needs Group (HSNSG), Harbour Women’s Refuge, The Butterwick Children’s Hospice in Stockton and the children’s ward at the University Hospital of North Tees.

Mason & Gerald Martin is part of Dignity Funerals group, which launched the Easter Egg Challenge in 2002.

Funeral director Damon Steadman said: “Last year Dignity staff collected thousands of Easter eggs for children across the country, and we would like to have the opportunity to do the same for the children in this area.”

You can also drop them off at 129 Park Road, Hartlepool, TS26 9HT Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
