SUPPORTERS of cancer sufferer Bradley Lowery have been bowled over after international cricketer Tim Bresnan chose to back him this year.
The England and Yorkshire bowler will host a huge gala dinner on Thursday, April 10 at The Royal Armouries in Leeds, featuring music from former cricketer Graeme Swann and his band Dr Comfort and The Lurid Revelations, as well as appearances by fellow England squad members Jimmy Anderson and Joe Root.
There will also be a disco, three-course dinner, auctions and raffles during the event.
As part of his benefit year, which will see proceeds split between Bradley Lowery’s Fight Against Neuroblastoma and Yorkshire-based children’s cancer charity Candlelighters, Tim will also use upcoming dinners and games to boost the two causes.
Tracy Buckley, secretary of the Tim Bresnan Benefit Fund, said Tim decided to support Bradley after hearing about the two-year-old Blackhall boy’s fight and after becoming a dad himself last year.
Bradley’s mum Gemma, 31, said: “The support from Tim is amazing and we are thrilled that he has chosen Brad as one of his charities.”
It’s hoped local people will attend the events. Tickets for the dinner are £120 each or a table of 10 is £960. To find out more, email email@example.com
