RESIDENTS can learn more about a major planning blueprint process and have their say at a consultation event taking place today.
Officials at Hartlepool Borough Council say the first step in producing the new Local Plan is to seek people’s views on the ‘Issues and Options’ consultation document which will help shape the new Local Plan, a 15-year blueprint.
The draft plan - which took five years to make at a cost of £1.5m - was controversially axed in October last year.
Consultation on the new one runs until July 18 and a special launch drop-in event is being held today at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience from 2.30pm to 7pm.
Copies of the consultation document can be obtained from the Civic Centre, all libraries and by clicking here.
