MAIL reader Joanne Shaw captured thesefantastic pictures of fun in the sun as a picturesque park held it’s annual summer event.
The Friends of Ward Jackson Park staged the Summer Fun Day on Sunday.
The highlights included a gymnastics display, a magic show to keep the children entertained, and a string of games and rides located around the park.
Local businesses also put on a host of stalls to show off what they have on offer.
A spokeswoman for the Friends of Ward Jackson said: “It was an exceptionally successful event for us.
“Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, and it was lovely to have our very own Ralph Ward Jackson on hand to give people a bit of history about the place.
“There were a number of activities on offer, some of which were free of charge and others which the money raised from will help to fund other events and allow to further redevelop the park with things like the family picnic area which we introduced recently.”
The next event the group is looking forward to will be a Halloween-themed day.
