PARK visitors could not believe their eyes when scores of Father Christmases were seen racing through the grounds.
Around 120 people donned red suits and white beards to take part in this year’s Hartlepool and District Hospice Santa Fun Run.
Families, friends and even pet dogs braved the bitter cold to jog or walk the mile-long circuit at Ward Jackson Park, Hartlepool.
Hospice events fundraiser Greg Hildreth said around £3,500 was expected to pour in from the event.
The race was started by Hartlepool Mayor Stuart Drummond.
First across the finish line, in joint first place, were 10-year-old Cole Baldam, from Hartlepool, and 10-year-old Jack Henderson, from Peterlee.
