Garage break-in bid foiled
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attempted break-in at a garage.
A group of youths is said to have been disturbed by a resident as they tried to break into the garage of a house in North Road West, Wingate.
The three males, wearing dark tracksuit tops, then ran off and minor damage was caused to the door.
Anyone with information on the incident, which took place in the early hours of Saturday, are asked to call Peterlee Police on 0345 6060365 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
