HARTLEPOOL is expected to miss out on the storms forecast for other parts of the country today.

A cold, but dry and bright start is forecast across the North-East, however, it will become cloudier through the morning, with more wind and rain expected to spread northwards through the afternoon.

There will be rain preceded by hill snow for a time with a maximum Temperature of 5C.

Tonight there will be showers or longer spells of rain, locally heavy, with any hill snow quickly turning to rain in the early evening.

Blustery winds will ease through the early hours of the morning. It will be cold with a minimum Temperature of 1C.

Tomorrow there will be blustery showers, prolonged at first, some wintry with hill snow. Brisk winds developing with gusts. Becoming brighter later in the afternoon, likely to be dry across the region by evening. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.
