WORK has started on a facelift at a town industrial estate.
Operation Cleansweep, Hartlepool’s long-running multi-agency improvement scheme, is taking place on the Longhill Industrial Estate.
It is hoped the clean-up will help to improve the appearance of the estate - which has around 200 businesses of varying sizes - and boost its chances of attracting new companies.
Operation Cleansweep is a partnership involving a range of organisations, including Hartlepool Council, Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade.
Hartlepool Council’s environmental team and police are patrolling the area and the fire brigade will link up with businesses to provide them with fire safety legislative advice.
