Keith's coup in Croatia!

KEITH Rogers will have many memories from his cruise around the Mediterranean.

And one of them will be the day he helped spread the word that The Tall Ships Races are coming to Hartlepool.

Town man Keith, who is also the membership secretary of the Friends of the Trincomalee, had this photograph taken with a tall ship in the background at Dubrovnik.

The city in Croatia is on the Adriatic Sea coast and is one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic.

Our thanks go to Keith for helping to spread the word.

We want hundreds of readers to take our Tall Ships poster on holiday with them and have photos taken to show the races are coming to town.

The Tall Ships Races are expected to attract a million visitors when up to 100 tall ships from around the world sail into Hartlepool from Kristiansand.

The town hosts the ships from August 7-10 next year.

You can pick up your copy of the poster from the Mail's reception in Wesley Square, any of Hartlepool's libraries, Hartlepool Civic Centre, Hartlepool's Maritime Experience and Hartlepool Art Gallery and Information Centre, in Church Square.

Send your photos to Chris Cordner at the Mail, either by post to New Clarence House, Wesley Square, Hartlepool, TS24 8BX or by email at chris.cordner@northeast-press.co.uk
