EMERGENCY services were called to a crash on a dual carriageway in Hartlepool.
Police teams went to the two-vehicle smash on the A179, which runs past the town’s Hart Village, at around 11am today.
A crew of paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service were sent to the scene where a man was suffering with neck injuries.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, and was said to be in a non-life-threatening condition.
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “This was a two-vehicle road incident on the A179 in the area of Buckingham Avenue, in Hart, and one male patient suffered neck injuries.
“He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees.”
