THERE is more windy weather set to hit the North-East in the coming days.
More gales are expected to be felt in Hartlepool and East Durham as wintery conditions continue into February.
There could also be snow on higher ground as temperatures stay low.
Forecasters are expecing more overnight frosts that could lead to hazardous driving conditions.
A Met Office spokesman said: “It will be mainly dry but rather cloudy and windy for much of today, with the best chance of brightness during the afteroon.
“It will be bright and breezy with sunshine and isolated showers on Tuesday, then becoming wet and windy overnight into Wednesday, with gales generally and some snow on hills. Drier, brighter and less windy Thursday.”
Temperatures are expected to peak at 7C.
