SCOOTERISTS revved up and raised £1,200 for a vital town charity.

Dozens of kind-hearted members of Hartlepool
United Supporters’ Club Scooter Club enjoyed a Christmas fundraising night in December.

The scooterists were entertained on the night by much-loved local ska band Live Injection as well as helping to raise cash through raffles and auctions.

And after all of the cash was tallied up, the club was delighted to reveal the event raised the healthy total which has now all been donated to Hartlepool & District Hospice.

Janice Forbes, community fundraiser at the Wells Avenue-based hospice, said: “We have received great feedback from the night and everyone I’ve spoken to had a fantastic time.

“I would like to thank the scooter club for organising this event and every penny raised will fund the specialist care services we provide to local people.

“The members of Hartlepool United Supporters’ Club are tremendous fundraisers and it’s lovely to see their enthusiasm.”

Shaun Ryan, a scooter club member, said: “I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported such a great night and the Hartlepool Supporters’ Club. I

“It’s a pleasure to support such a worthy local cause are we were really pleased to hand over the money.”
