Photographer's clicks will help CLIC
A PHOTOGRAPHY degree student is holding an event to raise cash for a children's cancer charity.
Lucy Grange, who is in her second year at Cleveland College of Art and Design, in Hartlepool, is offering people the chance to have a good quality photograph taken of themselves or their children - without being hit in the pocket.
She is bringing her portable photography studio to Hartlepool's King Johns Tavern, in South Road, tomorrow where she works part-time as a barmaid.
She will be taking photos of adults and children and charging 5 for a print without a frame, between 9am and 5pm, which will be sent on to them.
The proceeds, after materials have been deducted, will go to CLIC Sargent, a charity that offers support and care for children and young people with cancer while they are in treatment and at home.
Lucy, 21, of Church Square, Hartlepool, said: "If the children are under-three they can enter into a bonny baby competition to win a hamper of children's toys.
"I think when you go to have a shoot done somewhere the prices are often ridiculous.
"CLIC Sargent is so important. Not everybody is fortunate enough to have a childhood with good health and to be able to physically go out and do things they wanted to."
For an extra 5 people can buy a disc with their photo on and full copyright so they could make duplicates.
