POLICE have had to marshall a busy level crossing again due to a technical fault.

Officers spent the morning at the crossing in Church Street, Hartlepool, after they were alerted of a fault with the barrier.

The problem has occurred a number of times over the past month.

Officers were not allowing drivers to pass the crossing while they await the arrival of Network Rail engineers.
