Really cookin' in the fundraising stakes
GENEROUS restaurant staff have served up a treat by donating to a worthy cause.
Staff from the Krimo's and Portofino Restaurants, on Hartlepool Marina, which are both owned by town entrepreneur Krimo Bouabda, have raised 2,158 for the NSPCC.
The cheque marks 10 years of donating to the cause and the two restaurants were presented with merit awards for their generosity, along with a personal award for Krimo himself.
The charity's coffers look set to benefit further as Casa Del Mar, another marina restaurant, which is run by Krimo's son Adam, has also started to raise money for the charity.
NSPCC branch chairwoman Sandra McCall said: "We just couldn't do what we do without Krimo and his staff each year.
"The money just keeps going up and up and it's marvellous."
