Sam to be buried with teddies

A LITTLE boy will be laid to rest with his favourite teddies by his side.

Friends and family will say goodbye to three-year-old Sam Bell, at a funeral service tomorrow.

A tribute to the tragic toddler appeared in the Mail yesterday when distraught parents, Graeme, 28, and Jacqui, 26, spoke of the loss of their "amazing" and "loving" little boy, who "will be in our thoughts forever".

Sam was struck down with a stomach condition last week which claimed his life in a matter of hours.

He will be buried with his favourite teddies, Pudsey Bear and Big Ears from Noddy.

Sam used to play castles and knights with his older brother, Luke, four, and will also have his plastic sword with him.

Jacqui told the Mail she keeps finding more treasured toys she doesn't want him to be parted from.

She said: "He has got thousands of toys from me and nan.

"I just keep finding more stuff to take down."

Sam will also be buried with another favourite – his Transformers toy helicopter.

Jacqui and Graeme, of Benmore Road, Hartlepool, described Sam as ''an amazing loving little boy, who was always giving kisses and cuddles.

"Life will never be the same without his smiling face," said Jacqui.

"We all loved him so much, and he will be in our thoughts forever."

Sam's death certificate reads that he died of 'intussusception of the terminal ilium' which a coroner has explained to the couple means a twisting of the small intestine.

The funeral service will take place at the St Teresa's Roman Catholic Church, in Braemar Road, Hartlepool, tomorrow at noon before a burial service at Stranton Grange Cemetery.
