School reunion will benefit Teenage Cancer Trust

Ex-students from a school formed in a merger are due to reunite.

Those who attended Henry Smith’s from 1958 are welcome to a night of entertainment in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust on Saturday, May 14.

It is being planned by Stephen McGregor, who was a student at King Oswy.

It joined Henry Smith Grammar School and Galley’s Field Comprehensive to create the new school.

Stephen, 55, a driver for event sponsor Taxi 23, said: “People are looking forward to it and some haven’t seen each other for 40 years.”

Tickets are £5 from Nisa in King Oswy Drive, the Headland Co-op and John the Butchers in Davison Drive.
