Sensory experience for tots
BUBBLE lights, mirror balls and fibre optics are lined up to give babies a multi-sensory experience.
Twinkle tots, for babies from birth to 18 months, runs each Thursday from 1.30pm to 2.30pm at Durham County Council's Haswell Sure Start children's centre.
"The session is full of bubble lights, fibre optics and mirror balls to help stimulate and relax babies," said family support worker Kelly Maitland.
"The centre runs a range of sessions for children up to five-years-old starting with twinkle tots.
"As babies develop and become more mobile, they can move onto our baby gym for up to two-year-olds, while early birds, which is fun learning through play, is aimed at children aged up to five," she said.
