MOTORISTS faced delays on the A19 after a six-car smash.
The incident, on the southbound carriageway near to Castle Eden, happened just after 5.30pm on Thursday.
Traffic was slow while police dealt with the situation, but the road was clear by 6.30pm.
No-one was injured in the smash.
