Stabbed outside takeaway

A MAN was rushed to hospital after alledgedly being stabbed outside a takeaway in the early hours of the morning.
Detectives say the injuries to the 33-year-old man are not life-threatening and he was expected to be released from hospital over the weekend.
The incident happened outside the UK Pizza shop, in Yoden Way, Peterlee, at 2.40am on Saturday.
Detectives from Peterlee CID said one of the men involved in the incident is believed to have been inside the takeaway moments before.
They have now appealed for anyone with information or witnesses to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Cliff Down, of Peterlee CID, said: “I would urge anyone with information, or who may have been in the vicinity of the area at that time and may be able to assist with our inquiries to come forward.”
The injured man was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, and was due to be released this weekend.
Two men, aged 27 and 23, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.
