MUSIC lovers will soon be able to book their seats to see one of the country’s most popular operatic singers perform in Hartlepool.
Lesley Garrett will perform with Hartlepool Male Voice Choir in the latest of their summer celebrity concerts at The Borough Hall.
Tickets will go on sale from the beginning of next month ready for the show on Saturday, June 15.
It will be the second time soprano singer Lesley will have sung with the male voice choir after first performing with them two years ago.
Duncan Graham, chairman of Hartlepool Male Voice Choir, said: “We are really looking forward to Lesley coming back.
“We don’t know what we are going to sing with her as that is still under discussion.
“Our view is if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. We had such a great concert with Russell Watson last year, and with Lesley the year before that.”
Lesley, a best-selling classical artist, makes regular appearances on both stage and screen and has recorded 14 albums.
Tickets for the concert, which will start at 7.30pm, are priced at £30 or £25 for restricted view and will only be available through members of the choir.
