AHEAD of cheering on Team England as a physio at the Commonwealth Games this summer, Martin Davies is roaring on Roy’s boys in Brazil.
The 34-year--old physio showed his support for manager Roy Hodgson’s Three Lions at the World Cup with the Mail’s Come on England wall poster.
Martin, who runs Active PhysioCare, in Victoria Road, in the town, is no stranger to huge global sporting events having worked as a physio in the London Olympics in 2012.
And, as reported in the Mail, the dad-of-two was selected as a physio at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, due to start next month.
Martin is hoping the England team perform on the big stage themselves at the World Cup, which gets underway next week.
Martin, who lives in the Bishop Cuthbert estate with his wife Abby, 34, a teacher, and their two children, Isobelle, four, and one-year-old Joseph, said: “I’m not a huge football fan but I’ll be watching all of the England games.
“Hopefully we will get through the group stage and just take it one game at a time after that.
“The excitement is definitely building for the tournament to start now, a lot of my clients are big football fans and they can’t wait.”
