Town centre warning to motorists

TRAFFIC is building up in Stockton Street, Hartlepool, due to a broken down car.

A black Seat Ibiza car broke down near to Wilkinson’s at 8.50am and police were called to the scene.

Officers have tried unsuccessfully to push the car to get it out of the outside carriageway.

A police spokeswoman said the owner of the car and officers are now waiting for recovery.
