A VILLAGE was transformed into a hive of activity as people flocked to its annual fete.
Fun for all the family was on offer at Elwick village, on the outskirts of Hartlepool, with everything from a selection of stalls to a dog show and fairground rides at the popular event.
The fete, held on Sunday, was organised by the Elwick Millennium Association and every year it proves a hit with residents.
Hilary Thompson, chair of the EMA, said: “We try to organise as much as we can to please all of the family.
“The fete does get bigger and better every year and hopefully that will continue.”
The talented Hartlepool Hawks cheerleaders also performed while dog owners had the opportunity to enter their prized pooch into a show with awards for the dog with the waggiest tail, the best trick and other quirky categories.
Miniature horses were also on display while members of Elwick Art Club were also showcasing their work.
There was fun for youngsters as well with an area set up for them to decorate their own cupcakes.
Everyone was welcome to the fete including people from outside of the village.
