World Cup Woolly the psychic sheep, unveiled by the Hartlepool Mail yesterday, is back with his prediction for England’s opening World Cup game against Italy tonight.
Faced with three bottles of milk marked “England”, “Italy” and “draw”, Woolly picked the result at Tweddle Farm petting farm, in Blackhall Rocks.
You’ll have to wait until next week to see how Woolly thinks England will do in their other Group D fixtures.
With Hodgson’s men playing Ewe-ruguay and Costa Rica, three-month-old Woolly, a Ryeland sheep, will be kept busy with his predictions.
He’s still a little upset, however, that one of his favourite players – Demba Ba – is not there after Senegal failed to qualify.
