Warned to keep out of trouble

A YOB arrested at a rowdy scene outside a house has been warned by a senior judge to keep out of trouble in the future.

Jamie McCabe, 25, was one of a number of men involved in ugly scenes outside the house in Baden Street, Hartlepool.

Teesside Crown Court heard how a gang of around nine people caused a disturbance after being refused entry to a party.

A window was smashed in the disturbance and bottles were thrown at the house causing worried neighbours to call police.

McCabe was arrested along with a number of other people after police saw him acting in a rowdy manner.

He admitted using threatening or abusive words or violence but said he did not assault anyone.

McCabe, of Moffat Road, Hartlepool, was given a 12-month community order and will have to do 100 hours of unpaid work.

The Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Peter Fox, said: "You keep out of trouble in future.

"You seem to have taken the least part of the violence which occurred that night."
