WINDY WEATHER: Two women struggle in Hartlepool's Victoria Road
A WEATHER warning has been issued as Hartlepool is forecast to be battered by gale force winds today.
Westerly winds are expected to increase throughout the day as gusts of up to 50mph blow around the town.
A yellow weather warning has been issued across the North-East and experts say the gales are expected to be strongest between lunchtime and around 3pm.
Police have warned motorists to drive carefully, but the winds will ease off into the evening and no warning is in place tomorrow.
