LOLA the West Highland terrier is the latest entrant into the Mail’s Santa Paws competition.

This picture of five-year-old Lola was sent in by Keely Jukes, 29.

Keely, an employment consultant in Hartlepool and lives in Stockton, said: “Lola is looking very festive in her Santa outfit and loves to dress up as she loves the attention from people she meets when we’re out and about together.

Lola is a wonderful little dog and brings so much joy to the family and this is why we feel she deserves to be considered for the Santa Paws competition as we’re sure the public will love her just as much as we do.”

The Mail launched the Santa paws competition last week and it is open to dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, or even reptiles – basically any cute pet that wants to take part!.

We’re asking our readers to send in snaps of their much-loved animals dressed up in the finest festive get-ups such as Santa outfits, snowmen, elves, Christmas trees, or any other wacky ideas you may have, and send them in to us.

We’d also like you to tell us a little bit about yourself and your pet, including your name, age, address, animal type, and why you dressed him or her up. Can you also give us you contact number in case your pet wins.

We will print the pictures for the town to see and then in a few weeks we will crown one lucky pet this year’s winner.

We’ve teamed up with Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, in Hartlepool, to offer the competition winner a £50 voucher to spend in the centre.

To enter the competition, send your photos to Santa Paws, the Hartlepool Mail, New Clarence House, Wesley Square, Hartlepool, TS24 8BX, or email them to mail.news@northeast-press.co.uk with the words Santa Paws in the subject line.

So come on and get into the festive spirit and get your pictures sent in.
