A festival featuring up to 500 dancers is on the way – and you can watch it.
The 15th Karen Liddle February Dance Festival will be held at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, from Monday, February 18, to Wednesday, February 20.
Contestants will be battling it out from 9am to 4pm each day in categories including tap, modern stage, song and dance, ballet, national, character and acro.
Anyone can come along and watch the festival which costs £3.50 for adults and £3 for children and those on concessions.
Tickets allow people to go in and out of the theatre as much as they want on the day and will be available on the door.
A dance and stage school is appealing for more members.
Hartlepool Stage Society, based in the former Throston Community Centre in the town, holds rehearsals every Tuesday evening.
It has also started a junior society which runs every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm, while the adult society meets every Tuesday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Anybody wishing to join is welcome to come along to the rehearsals.
ANYONE interested in sequence dance can go along to a weekly session.
Hart Sequence Dance Club meets at Hart Village Hall every Tuesday from 1.30pm-3.30pm.
